We crowned a champion in the Southland late this afternoon. One-seed Texas A&M-Corpus Christi won an exciting game against two-seed Northwestern State. Over half our pool was awarded a win as Texas A&M-Corpus Christi won back-to-back conference tournaments. In the Patriot League we also saw the favorite win as one-seed Colgate destroyed six-seed Lafayette, resulting in 80% of our pool getting a win. 🏀
In addition to a completed conference tournament championship game, we had one other game this afternoon that impacted our pool. The only non-championship game pool impacting game was in the Atlantic 10 as (11) LaSalle knocked of (6) Duquesne. Only Whit suffered a loss here.
We still have one more conference tournament championship game left tonight in the Big Sky, but with the tip not coming until 10:30 PM CST I decided to get a blog entry published now. The current standings are located here and fully up to date. I'll have a blog entry Thursday morning to clean up the results from Wednesday night.
